Commercial Floriculture

The Commercial Floriculture site at the University of Florida is oriented (obviously) at commerical growers. However, it contains a wealth of information for the home gardener, including plant trials and very specific recommendations on cultivars, plant care, and fertilizers. Of particular interest are the Sunflower trials and Statewide Plant Trials. The latter section won't win any awards for ease of access or organization, but the important material is digested here in the research papers section. What you'll find is very precise and detailed information on cultivars of common bedding plants like Larkspur, Geraniums, Snaps, etc.
