Blueberries in Florida

On impulse, a friend and I stopped by a u-pick blueberry farm outside Ocklawaha. Five bucks a pound for some delicious berries. It took, maybe, five minutes to pick three pounds. My wife made an absolutely amazing pie.
It's hard not to love Florida in April.

Hi there,
I live in Central FL and I know of a blue berry farm in the Lake Placid area. It's my first year of gardening and I would love to add some fruit other than melons and papaya to my garden. I knew there are some varieties that will grow in our region but i only heard of them as container plants so far. Thanks for the pic!

There are several blueberry farms in Polk County. I definately know of one south of Bartow on US17. They grow in pots over part of the old Kaplan feedlot location.

Looks delicious. Makes me want to try growing some. What type grows on the coast south of Cape Canaveral?
