Sandhill milkweed (Asclepias humistrata)

Asclepias humistrata, the Sandhill Milkweed. Growing in full sun, in sugar sand, here in Central Florida. I see it pretty regularly while fishing out at Lake Woodruff. Beautiful and tough as nails.

  2. I love the observations about light/night. We live in a very under populated state and I love the darkness and the natural light. After years of big city life it is amazing how quickly and easily I adjust and appreciate the quiet, etc.

  4. are there many Milkweeds that grow in Florida? I live in Texas so most to all the Florida native plants will grow here in Texas.
