First squash of the season. SlickPik from Johnnys.
My trellis system for cucumbers and beans and tomatoes...
Pum ae squash. Very tasty. I don't know where I bought these seeds...
One of my Asian Long cukes. I find that "style" of cucumber to do best here in Central Florida.
Plums are maybe five days to ripening. So many plums on a five-foot tall tree.
Lots of fruit, but none of it particularly close to ripening.

We struggle with growing veggies...our soil must be horrible on that side of our property. I love plums but am allergic, sigh.
Do you know where The Mix hair salon is in Deland in that old building downtown?
sure!
I'm having issues keeping my squash plants healthy. As soon as they start getting big.. they've gotten mold or just stopped growing.. ugh.
I did have them in a new place this year, so I'm waiting for some newer plants to grow in a different area to see how they do..
Your garden looks great!

I would love to know the secret of growing squashes in central Florida. Mine always die horrible deaths before I ever get a ripe squash.
I am having trouble with cucumbers I have sprayed for beatles which got our first fall planting last year. we are container gardening to start as we can adjust the placement and control the soil as well as the containers have a well for watering. the leaves are turning yellow fruit is producing and now slowing. I think we started them too late the seeds in the ground in mid April if you could comment on your experiences or provide advise would greatly appreciate it my email is sandysue415@comcast.net thanks
